That's six and a half feet tall.
(gentle acoustic guitar music) Well, actually I start growing these, some of these I start growing in February with cuttings and actual tubers go in second week of April.
Now, we have to wash 'em off.
(water gushing) (gentle acoustic guitar music) Oh, it's work.
I wouldn't recommend it if you have young children.
(gentle acoustic guitar music) I guess they call them the man's flower.
They are just, they have this excitement, this strength, this variety.
(gentle acoustic guitar music) (blowtorch blowing) (gentle acoustic guitar music) (scissors cutting) In the last two years, we've raised $4,500.
The club did with what I sold and sent that all to the food pantry, local food pantry.
(gentle acoustic guitar music) These start blossoming in August, 1st of August.
(brush scuffling) I do have to say I enjoy keeping the tubers growing in the next year, in this perpetual level is fun.
(gentle acoustic guitar music) Love those little guys.
(laughs) (gentle acoustic guitar music) My favorite Dahlia changes every year.
(gentle acoustic guitar music) I'm 70 years old.
It gives me things to occupy my time with.
