The day after the Almeda Fire, local man Damien Rennie spent the day hiking through Phoenix, Or., using social media to let people know if their houses was standing or not. In the days following he aided fire victims by raising over $12,000, which was spent on immediate necessities. The quick response helped fill in the gaps while the larger relief agencies were still getting a foothold.
