Dancers and Artists Stand Up to Bigotry in San Francisco

San Francisco turned out in force in shared humanity and united, creative resistance.
Hours after a presidential pardon of former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio — convicted of criminal contempt for violating a court order to cease racial profiling — and one day after a ban on transgender recruits in the military, the people of San Francisco turned out in force for a visible reminder of the power in shared humanity and united, creative resistance.

You are all so beautiful.
Thank you so much for being here today.
I just have to say it.
We do not have a place here in.. for any form of intolerance.
Or any form of white supremacy.
-I'm looking at all of you.
This is power.
This is love.
You guys are love.
# America, America, # God we need some grace from thee # And may they see our humanity.
# From sea to shining sea.
- In San Francisco spirit, I am here with the mobile dance party resistance.
And I wanted to be able to resist, but in a peaceful way.
-We want a big response to what was supposed to be, you know the alt-right [rally,] and I think they might have cancelled their rally.
But either way, we're all gonna have a good time.
And just show inclusiveness.
Youth, older people and it just shows how much support their really is in the San Francisco community, and the surrounding communities.
-Hey, hey!
Ho, ho!
Donald Trump has got to go.
-No hate.
- Let's go.
-If you are gay, you are safe and you are welcome here.
If you are transgender, you are safe and you are welcome here.
If you are black, you are safe and you are welcome here.
If you are Latino, you are safe and welcome here.
If you are Asian, you are safe and welcome here.
If you are a woman, you are safe and welcome here.
And if you are Giants or Warriors fan, you are safe and welcome here.
And the Raiders too.
Put your hands together, yo!
Here we go!
