Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship- I think most security cameras scenarios would fall outside the scope of this law and here's why.
Your purpose with the security camera is home protection, and any images that are captured in your neighbor's backyard are presumably pretty incidental, so you wouldn't be acting with the purpose of taking images of your neighbor's backyard.
In addition, the element, that's what it's called, the element of the law that says you have to act with the intent to alarm, annoy, harass, or threaten is a really high bar, and presumably wouldn't be met in the average security camera scenario.
So I think that's probably gonna be a non-issue.
