♪ [snappy music] ♪ It is said that David Drake produced more than 40,000 pieces from the 1820s to 1870s.
He created stoneware jugs in which he often signed his works "Dave."
Drake also inscribed his work with poetry, often using rhyming couplets.
20 of Dave Potter's jars and jugs are inscribed with original poetry, and 50 additional vessels reveal his signature, maker's mark, date, and other inscriptions.
Today, they sell for as much as $50,000.
