For Albany artist David Hinchen, buildings are the significant carriers of cultural memory

Artist David Hinchen never planned on moving to Albany, but when he did, he was struck by how monumental it was. David is a full-time artist, commissioned to paint historic houses throughout the Hudson Valley, New York City, and Boston. Living in Albany, David finds himself able to "become part of a community in a way that I never have before."
