#### Kentucky's COVID positivity number is now up to eight and a half percent, with 33-hundred new cases.
#### The Lexington Herald-Leader says State Representative Joseph Fischer will run for the Kentucky Supreme Court seat held by Justice Michelle Keller, who's been on the court since 2013.
Fischer is a Republican from Campbell County.
#### State Senator Reggie Thomas of Lexington has pre-filed a bill, that would allow police to ticket drivers if they're seen on surveillance cameras running red lights.
Thomas says there have been too many fatal crashes at red lights.
Tickets could cost up to 50 dollars.
#### WDRB in Louisville says the Kentucky Board of Education has approved new regulations dealing with corporal punishment.
It has to be a last resort, and schools must have parents' permission in advance, before using it.
