The president says the federal government "isn't going to leave."

#### The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the tornado death toll is 75, up from 74 yesterday, after a Warren County man had a fatal heart attack while cleaning storm debris.
#### UK President Eli Capilouto is getting a raise.
The Board of Trustees voted yesterday to increase Capilouto's base pay by 200-thousand dollars - meaning it now tops a million dollars a year.
#### Fans are mourning the death of author, activist, and Kentucky native bell hooks at the age of 69.
Her real name was Gloria Jean Watkins, and she was the author of more than 40 books, ranging from poetry to essays.
