Lake Placid enters bid for 2026 Winter Olympics, Chris Mazdzer announces final run.
The next Winter Olympics will be held in Northern Italy in two years, in 2026. But, in an unusual twist, there is a chance that some of the sliding events for those Winter Games could possibly wind up being held outside of Italy in another country. And the United States and Lake Placid are among those who have submitted a bid to host the events.
