Here to tell us more is Jon Miles.
Welcome, Jon.
So I know you're in several different venues, talk about the venues.
We know the Big Deer Valley venue, but tell us about some of the others.
- Sure.
Yeah, so we will be obviously at Deer Valley Resort which is the ski slope right at the Snow Park Lodge there, and then a beautiful Catholic church in Park City, St. Mary's Church, it's got great views of the hills and the meadows around, Summit County, and they open up the doors, so there's this cold breeze that comes through as you're listening to the Utah Symphony.
It's a really beautiful place to listen to classical music.
- All right.
Are you also doing events in some private homes?
- Yeah, there are some salons for our donors, and we'll be doing some community pop-up concerts in partnership with the Park City Arts Council, and some others.
They'll be just around town for people who happen to be walking by to listen to some Utah Symphony musicians up close.
- Wow.
That's new.
I think that's a great, innovative idea.
Who are some of your headliners coming to the main resort?
- Yeah, it's such a fantastic lineup.
We've got Kristin Chenoweth, The Temptations, The Beach Boys, Kool & The Gang.
There'll be the 1812 Overture with the Canon which are always a favorite to the audiences.
It's a really great lineup of artists this year all performing with the Utah Symphony.
- I love it, and I think you've already added a second performance of The Beach Boys?
- We are, the first one sold out really quickly, and so we added a second one, 'cause we know Utah loves The Beach Boys.
- All right.
Well Jon, it's an exciting season, and thank you so much for being with us.
If you'd like to know more about the Utah Symphony's Deer Valley Festival, it goes July through August, there's lots on the docket.
