Jersey City councilwoman gets fined $5,000 and driver’s license suspended for a year
On Tuesday, Jersey City Councilwoman Amy DeGise pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident. She will be fined $5,000 and her license will be suspended for one year. The car that DeGise was driving collided with a bicyclist in Jersey City on July 19. DeGise did not stop and did not report the collision until several hours later.
