We are currently at the Lincoln Park Building of the Duluth Art Institute.

This is our Free Art Day.

It's an opportunity for members of the community to check out our space, get creative.

We have the kids cutting out different shapes to make custom snowman characters.

Also, we have like a pop up 3D holiday card.

The customizing of their snowman characters is probably one of the highlights because they can color it.

They can.

We have sunglasses, different hats, different scarves, different facial expressions.

So it really helps everybody create something truly unique.

I think back to my childhood and just how valuable it was to have that time to sit down and just work with my hands, to use my imagination to turn off the screens and really have to self-reflect and project myself onto whatever medium I was doing.

So it's really important to have a space thats set aside for creativity, for kids to really lean into that part of their personality and have a chance to grow as an artist and a chance to meet the community of artists around us, because that's just as important as the artist itself.

It's the community.
