A five-county coalition addresses substance use in rural areas with unique challenges.

The 2nd Judicial District Court oversees the Opioid Coalition across its five counties: Beaufort, Hyde, Martin, Tyrrell, and Washington. The coalition was created to tackle the unique challenges of this rural region in the fight against the opioid crisis. A dedicated group of leaders works with the Opioid Response Project team at the UNC School of Government.
