Hailing from Lucas, Arkansas, Dizzy and his brother Daffy were members of the St. Louis Cardinals in 1934.
Dizzy, a hard throwing right hander with a knack for self-promotion, promised 45 wins, and he and his brother delivered 49 victories for the season.
By September, the Deans had clinched 45 wins and a World Series title for the Redbirds, ensuring this piece of memorabilia remains priceless for years to come.
