-Hi, my name is Sachi, and I'm a senior at the National Cathedral School in D.C. One of the things that I love is working with younger children.
So for the last three years, I've been volunteering with the Latino Student Fund.
What the Latino Student Fund does is they connect students with tutors who work with them a few times a week, throughout the entirety of the summer or the school year.
And through them, I've tutored about six elementary-aged kids over the past few summers, second to fifth graders, in Spanish, English, math and if they have another native language.
I really enjoy it because I'm able to build relatio-- build relationships with them and see how they progress from struggling or having challenges with certain problems to solving them easily over just a few months.
So it's definitely a really rewarding experience.
