Well, that's not so cute when that puppy becomes a £70 large dog and all of a sudden jumps on grandma.
I am Kim Forsyth.
I am a dog trainer at our professional dog training.
So I always say I'm a professional belly rubber because I actually do get paid to rub bellies.
And I will go to say the training dogs is usually a lot easier than training humans, stealing the behaviors that we want in our dogs early on in life, the better companions are going to be for us.
Long term, it makes dogs happier dogs and owners happier owners.
When a dog comes here, I mean, they're assigned a trainer who works with them three times a day.
We want the dog to have fun while they're learning.
How does a dog perceive the world?
How does that impact their learning?
Is the dog toy motivated?
Is the dog treat motivated?
Is the dog praise motivated?
So it's literally like sending your dog off to camp.
It helps dogs to become better members of society, helps dogs live better lives.
They may come here very fearful.
And then when they leave a month later, they're confident little beings.
So it's very rewarding.
