School districts now required to teach about disabled people

People with disabilities are the largest minority group in the United States, yet advocates say they’re left out of the conversation when it comes to understanding their contributions to society. Dr. Priya Lalvani, professor of Disability Studies and Inclusive Education at Montclair State University and co-author of the book “Undoing Ableism: Teaching About Disability in K-12 Classrooms” explains.
