I'm Andrea Wedul with Barr Engineering.
The Barbarians.
How many of you have done this in the past?
We've got a lot of new people, but at the same time, it's looking pretty good.
We're going to be fierce, so watch out.
I think about year four of this, but this is this is just a gas.
It's fun to see teams come back year after year.
We are the organizer for the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival.
This is our.
22nd year I believe a lot of these people paddle once a year while everybody might feel familiar, it's not that familiar.
So we kind of force everybody into that muscle memory or into that kind of a little bit of jogging their brain about, like how to paddle.
Use your butt and your stomach.
Don't use your arms or you're not going to make it through that, that three minutes.
It is it is the longest three minutes of your life.
My heritage is Chinese, and dragon boating itself has a very, very long history.
And so, it's just something that I found and I attached to.
And I'm really, really glad that I can bring something to it into this area.
We, as our Rotary Club, use this as one of our major fundraisers for our club.
And our club gives back to the community in many ways.
Just a lot of excitement and adrenaline that comes with racing with a lot of people.
It was awesome.
The lake was great, paddling was great.
Everyone did great and they were together.
That's a big thing.
