Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship- [Keith] I believe this place is haunted So, when we're here, ya know, we're going to treat whatever entities are here with respect.
And so...uh, we're getting a shot in between two trains and I was walking backwards with the camera, a place that's marked off, where we're probably not supposed to be um, but we were there anyway because the place was empty.
And off of a sudden, I felt something like like a hand on my back... so I stopped shooting and I was like, "Alright, cut guys, we're going to stop."
And I turned around and there was nothing there.
So I was like, all right, I said that we were going to respect this place, and here we are shooting in between two trains where we're not allowed to be, let's get back to the part of the museum where we're actually allowed to be.
And I have goosebumps all over me right now when I'm talking about it again.
It was kind of creepy.
St Louis County, you know, it does have kind of a lot of strange histories, you know?
I mean, there's the Depot here, there's Nopeming Sanatorium, a little bit up the hill.
You know, over an Ely, there's the Ely Steakhouse.
And so when you collect all these places in a single project and start to look at them, ya know, there's a lot of really interesting stories that have happened uh, in the northland.
To me, a ghost story is the most fun story to listen to.
And the most fun story to tell.
I don't think that's gonna change if ghosts are real or ghosts aren't real.
These stories just bring a lot of joy.
