We're a relatively new nonprofit.
We became a 501 C3 and just back in 2023, And we formed because we saw a need for, a group to focus on the foot trails in Duluth.
We saw the great work that groups like the Cyclists of Gitchee Gumee Shores and Duluth Cross-country Ski Club DXC.
We're doing for the trails and for their users.
And we saw a gap.
There wasn't that same kind of a group for folks that are using trails on foot.
Even though according to city survey, it's about 80% of the trail users in Duluth are on foot.
So we wanted to have a group that could advocate for foot trail users that could help to get more folks out and using our trails And to get folks out to help maintain our trails.
Our trails always need help.
There's lots of maintenance work.
There's no experience necessary.
You don't need any equipment.
We've got everything you need here.
We'll show you how to do it.
And, come out, do a little work.
Feel good about it.
Maybe meet some new folks.
Maybe see some new trails that you haven't seen before.
The trails up here in Hawk Ridge, if you haven't been there are just fantastic.
And that's one of the reasons that that we want to keep them in good shape.
They're just beautiful, beautiful trails and not a lot of folks know about them.
