Park of Earth Week is certainly taking care and being good stewards of the Earth.

That involves cleaning up and supporting the community and ensuring that we have a safe and thriving community to live in.

I am Tracy Bibelnieks with Equilibrium3 which is a nonprofit here in Lincoln Park.

So the mission of Eco3 is really centered around community and the needs of community, working on projects and grant funded projects, that support resiliency.

environmental, situations of the neighborhoods.

This is an annual event sponsored by Equilibrium3, where we have over 200 volunteers.

Last year, we picked up 4,000 pounds or so of trash.

People kind of gather their friends and come out and do it as a group.

We send them out in different areas in the neighborhood.

So they come, they register, we give them, personal protection gear, gloves.

We give them the orange vests, the buckets, the pinchers.

We're hoping that we fill the dumpster again as well as beat that 4,000 pound goal.
