Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(gentle music) - So one of the biggest challenges that we've heard about since the late nineties when we did our first survey of grandparents raising grandchildren was education and how do we enroll these children in school if we don't have any kind of legal relationship over them or with them?
(people chattering) (people screaming) If you're having trouble getting your grandkids or other relatives enrolled in school and you don't have a legal relationship to them, so you're challenged in how to do it, Generations United is releasing a new State of Grand Families report in fall of 2024 that talks about this very issue.
So K through 12 education, and we at the Grand Families and Kinship Support Network, which is the first federally funded technical assistance center on the families, are doing a toolkit to accompany that.
