My name is E'lanah.
That last song I just performed was called "Cool on You".
I was in the studio, and I just learned how to song write with my dope manager.
She's a great songwriter.
And we were going through some tracks, and my producer, EZ Elpee, he had given me that track.
And when I heard it, it was just so majestic.
And when I came up with the hook, ♪ Let me just say I'm cool on you, baby ♪ We were like, "Oh yeah.
That's it."
So that came about like that.
My origin of music and what really inspires my passion behind it is just it's my therapy.
When I was in college, I was kind of like in the COVID years.
And I had some time to really sit and listen through tracks.
And it just gave me a peace of mind.
So, I did grow up playing sports.
I played lacrosse and I played volleyball.
And just, like, being on a team, you know, you have to be very dedicated and disciplined.
And that also carries over into my music.
Because you can't lie.
It's not a competition, like, you know, you very much are inspired by your peers and the other artists and the greats who have done it, but you have to have that discipline.
Like, that's just key.
My next song that I wanna play for y'all is called "Patience".
And I think the title kind of speaks for itself.
I don't know if y'all know about Atlanta traffic, but I be running out of patience.
So this is for y'all.

And I was at that point of, "Uh-uh".
Like, "Listen, I'm running outta patience.
You got one more time."
I've always dreamed of music.
I love, love, love, love music.
Like, I've loved it as a little kid.
I always dreamed of performing.
I was always dancing in the computer room to ♪ I'm a Barbie girl ♪ Like, you know, like, that was my jam.
So now that I get to actually do it, it's so exciting.
I process my emotions as an artist just through my music and through my writing.
That, like I mentioned earlier, that music is my therapy, so once I sit down and I get to writing in my pad and I get to go express that on a microphone and I find a melody, it just, I feel calm.
I'm glad I get to vent and just get it out.
So that's how I get my emotions out.
Music is emotion.
I see myself within the R&B space by standing out and making a difference in the aspect of just coming with a different tone, coming with a different vibe, and allowing that to be my own lane.
You know, I'm not quite sure if I sound like anyone in the industry as of right now, but I'd like to make that my own lane.
And the others that come behind me, I want them to flourish.
I kind of wanna write the blueprint in my own lane.
So that's where I see that.
