NJ pilot program underway but miles to go before all diesel-powered buses replaced

Environmentalists gathered in Trenton on Wednesday to praise the rollout of a $45 million pilot program that is helping New Jersey school districts replace diesel-powered buses with cleaner electric models. The plan is aimed at reducing air pollution, fighting climate change and lowering operation costs for cash-strapped districts.
