Teams, welcome to The Roundup.
Here's how The Roundup works: You and your teammate will mount horses and work together to herd cattle into that pen.
There will be three roundups.

Each round will be timed.
At the end of the three rounds, the team with the lowest total time will be our winner.

Steven: My name is Steven Wannebo.
I'm a wrangler at the White Stallion Ranch.
I've been here for over two and a half years.
The object of team penning is to push cattle out of the group and get them to go where you want them to go, to the other side of the arena into a pen.
This can definitely be hard depending on cows' mood, the day, your team, your mood.
[chuckles] Gabe: I'm Gabe Arteaga.
I'm a wrangler here at the White Stallion Ranch.
I've been here three years and the best part of the job is just getting on a horse every day.
There's a lot of moving parts that go into it, so you have to have a lot of things working together in order to get those cows in the pen.
People that haven't done this before, you'll see them go in very timid.
They're not on the same page as their horse because they don't know how to give them their cues.
Dan: Gabe and Steve are professional wranglers here at White Stallion Ranch, and they're here to help you.
In any given round, if you can't round up those cattle and put them into that pen within three minutes, then the pros will be called in to help you out.
