Eleven years ago Shelevya Pearson brought her daughter home from the hospital to NYCHA. Now, she claims that living in public housing has led to her daughter’s respiratory problems. Unfortunately, with children hospitalizations for asthma being higher in Brownsville than the rest of New York City, their story is not uncommon.
