Dan: JD saw a picture of his father for the very first time.
- I can see some resemblance.
Dan: Raymond learned who his grandfather was.
- This is crazy to see this history.
Dan: Anitra met her long lost sister, Kim.
And learned that their mother passed away at a very young age.
- I was hoping to meet our mom and tell her thank you.
Now I can't tell her.
Dan: Team Blue took first place, helping them today with written directions to their relative's house.
And Team Red came one strike closer to elimination.
- You have picked up your second strike.
♪ Dan: DNA tells us who we are and where we came from.
Following their own DNA, four teams are racing... - It's on.
- Boom!
[crashing and grunting] Dan: To win 50,000 dollars.
- Let's get 'em!
Dan: And to find their family.
[knocking] ♪ Dan: It's day six of Relative Race, the official halfway point.
Only five days remain to find family and win $50,000.
Team Red is now one strike away from going home.
- I don't take losing well at all.
So we gotta step our game up like now, today.
Dan: The three other teams all have one strike, but that could all change tonight.
- There are no advantages in Relative Race.
DeShae: There's no way I can go home, not when I'm this close to discovering who my parents are.
Anitra: We have to ramp it up these last five days, I have to meet everyone in my family.
♪ Dan: In Natchitoches, Louisiana, Chris is getting the morning started with his cousin, Becky.
And a little breakfast.
Chris: Good morning, it's the morning of day six, and I'm here with my cousin Becky.
- Hi!
- So excited, we've been catching up, been making breakfast, got all kinds of good stuff going on.
Just uh, wanted to let everybody know that we're still having a great time, we're ready for the day.
And uh, with this wonderful breakfast, it'll be a good way to start.
- Go green.
- We'll see you next time, go green!
- Team Green!
Dan: After breakfast, Chris's cousin Becky, who, like DeShae, was also adopted, wanted to give her a special gift.
- I'm so excited for you guys and your journey, and um, I got you a little something to remember this day.
- Oh, for me?
- Yes!
- Wow!
- Hope you're very excited.
- Aw... - Oh, wow.
- That is beautiful.
Becky: You have to read this.
That's awesome, it says, "Wherever life takes us we go together."
- Yep.
DeShae: Thank you so much.
It kinda symbolizes that we're all in this together.
It was just really special because Becky and I are searching for, you know, the same answers, and so this is something that I will wear on this journey and beyond and I will look forward to connecting with her afterwards so that we can maybe help her find some more answers.
♪ Dan: Over in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Anitra's sister, Kim, is about to unveil something Anitra has never seen before.
- We have a few artists in our family, your niece, my daughter, is one.
- Really?
- Well you also have a cousin, and he drew a picture of us together with our parents.
- How?
- He got pictures of us... [both chuckle] And he wants to give it to you.
Paul: Oh my gosh.
- So we are all in one picture.
[gasps] Paul: That's so cool.
Anitra: Wow.
[laughs] This is amazing.
My sister, Kim, told me last night that my father's name is Michael.
Obviously, I've never seen a picture of him.
This is the first time I've seen his face.
[laughing] Whoa.
[laughing] I don't know what to even say looking at this picture, I see so much of myself in each one of these faces.
It's obvious that this is my family.
I love this.
♪ [texting] [phone chimes] - Oh, got a text, uh, from Dan.
- Got a text from Dan.
- Already?
Paul: Yeah.
- Let's all look at it together.
- "Good morning teams, welcome to day six of Relative Race."
- "Team Red will be traveling to York, South Carolina.
Paul: "Team Blue will be traveling to Davidson, North Carolina."
Anitra: [laughing] Whoa.
- Okay.
- "Team Black will be traveling to American Fork, Utah."
[giggling] Yay.
Together: "Bedford, Texas."
- "Today's first place winners will receive immunity."
Wow.
- Immunity?
- "Your time starts now."
- All right.
- Oh, right now we gotta go.
- We need immunity.
- Oh, one more hug, we gotta get up outta here, we tryna get that immunity.

- Thank you so much.
- Drive safely.
- Gotta go grab the bags.
- Oh my goodness, we're going back to Utah.
- Go Team Black!
- Utah, JD, Utah.
- Immunity was all I needed to hear.

- Back to our home state.

DeShae: Go, go, go.
- Here we go.

- So once we get on the road, I'm gonna start looking for the thing.
Whatever it is that Dan was talking about last night.
- Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- I almost forgot to tell you, that tomorrow, I have a little something extra for you in your cars.
Paul: We're curious to learn what this mystery is in our car, hopefully it'll be something that can help us and not one of Dan's jokes.
[laughs] DeShae: Go, go, go.
- Oh, wait, we gotta...
The thing from Dan, the thing from Dan.
Is it, uh, look in the glove-- - I don't see it... in the back?
- You wanna stop and look for the-- - Yeah, you look at this.
- Okay.
- There it is, there it is.
- Oh, I found it.
- Heyo.

- What we got there.
- You think it's money?
- Doubt it.
[laughs] [papers ripping] - Ooh, Relative Race.
Chris: A Relative Ticket?
- "Good for one trip to meet your next relative in the event of elimination only."
- All right.
- Wow, that's cool.
- If we are eliminated, we can meet our next relative.
- Wow.
Anita: ♪ I got the golden ticket.

Anitra: All right.
Paul: Okay.
- Oh, that's beautiful.
- But we don't wanna use it.

I definitely don't wanna use that.
- Well, we're not gonna get eliminated, so.
[laughing] - Maybe another team will need that.
Let's go.
JD: ♪ On the road again.
♪ - Boring.
Dan: All four teams are on the road, searching for their next family member.
Team Blue, Paul and Anitra, are departing from Rock Hill, South Carolina and heading towards Davidson, North Carolina.
With an alotted time of one hour and 28 minutes.
Team Red, Raymond and Nicole, make their way from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to York, South Carolina.
With an alotted time of two hours and 36 minutes.
Team Green, Chris and DeShae, are travelling from Natchitoches, Louisiana to Bedford, Texas.
Their allotted time for the day is four hours and 38 minutes.
And Team Black, JD and Jenn, make their way from Grand Junction, Colorado to American Fork, Utah, with an allotted time of three hours and 18 minutes.
All of our teams are racing to find new family.
With no help from smartphones or GPS, they must find the city, complete a challenge, and find their relative's address.
The team that goes over their allotted time the most will receive a strike.
Heading into their home state of Utah, Team Black has a home court advantage.
Sort of.
- Be back home.
Even though we live in Utah, I'm not familiar with the streets in American Fork, so we decided to pull over and get a map.
Right off the freeway there's a really nice gas-station.
Dan: As Team Black searches for a map in their home state, DeShae on Team Green is narrowing down the five individuals that could possibly be her mother or father.
- So at this point I still really don't know how I'm connected to the Love family, I just know that I am.
I only know my biological mother's name from my hospital bracelet that I have.
Chris: It's Debora.
DeShae: It's Debora.
On day one of this journey, I got a list of people that could be my possible parent from my cousins Tory and Jazzmyn, and on day three, I ruled out Uncle David.
On day four I ruled out Uncle Gary.
So now we're down to three names.
Really, Ricky, who has passed away is either my father or uncle, we're not sure.
I'm not sure.
Nobody really said a whole lot about Mike yet, so that's a big question mark, and then of course there's Debby which seems like the easy answer, but it could be.
Raymond: Oh my goodness, this is an oil rig backing up.
- Oh, sir this is what you're not gonna do, hold us up.
- So we're on a two-lane road, and we have somebody filling up a swimming pool with a water tanker.
I mean, come on.
Nicole: Just back it in.
Anitra: I hate traffic.
Paul: Yeah.
Must be some road work going on or something.
[JD groans] Jenn: What?
Let's go.
JD: Highway 6 is closed.
Jenn: What?
JD.
Is Highway 6 really closed?
- Yes.
- Why is it closed?
- Uh... - There was an accident.
- At least we're movin'.
Anitra: [humming] Paul: [sighing] I really hope this traffic starts to clear up.
Jenn: I'm so... seriously, so sad.
Nicole: It's going to be a sign that says, "Welcome to York."
- Highway 6 would have saved us an incredible amount of time, but now we're just doing the very best we can.
♪ Dan: Six days into a ten day road trip, and all of the teams are feeling the need to laugh at themselves in the car.
- Everybody loves a good blooper reel.
I'm sure on this show we've done some pretty ridiculous stuff.
- Mostly you.
- I live over der in Utah.
[laughing] What is going on?
It's all downhill from here, folks.
[laughing] - That's my Eddie Murphy laugh.
Anitra: No.
[laughing] That's Count Chocula.
- I can't even make the same move twice.
[laughing] I'm not coordinated.
- Just gettin' it, uh, uh.
- What we're gonna do-- [high-pitched yelping] - Sounds like somebody hit a chihuahua.
[laughing] - Cuba?
Man, we made a wrong turn somewhere.
[laughing] Whoa!
- Why they gotta put so many raisins in here?
- Because it's called trail mix.
- Siri, what?!
[laughing] [laughing] Dan: All fun and games aside, it's now time for our teams to find their city sign.
- What's this say?
JD: If you can see something that says American Fork, we'll stop sooner.
Chris: We've got to be in Bedford already, right?
So we need to find anything that says Bedford.
Anitra: Davidson College.
- Boom.
They gotta have a sign on it.
- It can't just say, "School."
- School.
Ray: York, South Carolina, that sign right there.
- American Fork Chiropractor.
Jenn: You see something?
Okay, good.
- Keep your eyes open, my dear.
- Welcome to Davidson!
- Oh, that says "welcome to Davidson", yeah, baby!
Anitra: All right, where can we park?

As soon as we pull off the exit.
Nicole: All right, I'm just gonna pull right here.
Ray: Mm.

Teams are shown a series of emojis on a movie screen.
Using the emojis as a reference, teams must identify the title of a movie.
Teams must get five movie titles correct to complete this challenge.
The allotted time for Flix n Pix is eight minutes.
- There's popcorn and a drink.
Grab it, I hope you have extra butter.
DeShae: I can have an entire conversation in emojis alone, so I'm kind of a self-proclaimed emoji queen.

[dramatic music] ♪ Dan: All of our teams are now racing to meet new family.
Ray: Address is 613 Mini Drive.
DeShae: Woodhill Lane.

- Go!
- Do you know where Mini Drive is?
No problem, thank you.
DeShae: When we turned on this road, I had the road on the map.
I saw exactly where it was, but I don't see where it is now.
Paul: We opened up the direction card and there's 16 steps to get to our relative's house.
- Because these are step-by-step directions.
So these are the ones that we want to follow.
Not Anitra's directions.
JD: You either speed up or slow down, because I wanna see what this road says.
You need-- I can't now.
We are looking for State Route 73.
- Sir, do you happen to know where Woodhill Lane is?
Anitra: There's Rosada.
Make a left.
- Stop right here.
Pull over.
Ask him.
- Raymond, I cannot stop there.
Ray: Honk the horn at him!
- Excuse me?
Do you know where Mini Drive is?

♪ - Man.
That's just crazy.
Nicole: We need to get some directions.
DeShae: We did come across a service repair man, and he actually had an actual map.
We immediately took to his map and he gave us turn-by-turn directions on how to get to our relative's street.
Come on.
Come on, Chris, let's go.
- Thank you, sir.
Appreciate it.
Anitra: We're on number eight, so we're almost halfway there.
- Come on, y'all, let's go!
- Can you stop yelling?
It's not doing anything.
Ray: Let's move.
- ♪ I don't mind.
♪ JD: That just said SR-73 on it.
We're doing it.
Boom.
Anitra: Oh, post office.

Sir!
[honking horn] Sir?

Ray: So Nicole jumps out of the car yelling like a crazy lady, waving down the postman and everything, and hey, I'm like, if it works, it works.
And it worked, so I was good with it.
- Turn right onto West Sugarcreek Road.
Paul: Okay.
- Left on Confederate.
Ray: Left on Confederate, right on Willow.
- Here's Confederate right here.
Ray: Boom.
We in there like swimwear.
Anitra: We would have never found this.
- No.

Anitra: 1216.

Paul: That's 1212.
Anitra: Oh, 1212!
♪ [knocking] Woman: Hello!

My name's Paul.
This is Anitra.
- My name is Omega Hightower.

- Anitra's.
- How are we related?
- I am your grandmother's sister, so I am your great aunt.

Anitra: For just so long, I just assumed that I was sort of forgotten about and so many people have shown me that it's not the case at all.
Omega: Hugging Anitra today was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
It's just an endearing moment.

[laughing] [soft music] Dan: While Anitra and Paul settle in with Antira's Aunt Omega, the other three teams are still desperately searching for their families.
Ray: Why are you stopping?
- I was looking at foot-- - I'm looking at the streets.
Just drive.
Nicole: I don't know what his deal is right now, but he's definitely not helping.
JD: We're here.
Do you see any white trucks?
- No.
JD: Do you see anything out in the fields?
- There's a white truck!
- There's a white truck.
Jenn: Oh, boy.
In a rainstorm?
JD: Okay, slow down, slow down, slow down.
Jenn: Middle of nowhere.
Oh, boy.
JD: Can't see anything.
We finally find this white truck and a man heads over to us.
Let's just see what he has to say.
- Hi!
Jenn: Do you want us to get out?
- Yeah.
I'm not the relative you're here to meet.
Jenn: Okay.
- But with this weather, let's have you get your stuff and throw it in the truck and I'll take you to meet your relative.
JD: Okay.

JD: There is a trailer full of people, my family, sitting right in front of me.
It's a bit overwhelming.
There are aunts, uncles, cousins.
These are people related to me through my father Steven.
My family just got a whole lot bigger.
[soft music] Chris: 1620, I don't see it.

- Oh, my goodness.
[cries softly] - 1628.

- Oh, good grief.
- Ooh.

[cries] DeShae: We pull up to our relative's house and there's a lady waiting on the porch.
I was anxiously trying to figure out who it was going to be.
I knew that I could potentially meet Debbie.
I just didn't know if she was going to be my aunt or my mother.
Hi.
- Hi.
- I'm DeShae.
- I'm Chris.
- Hi.
- Hi.
- I'm Debbie.
- Hi, Debbie.
- And how are we related?
- I'm DeShae's... aunt.
- My aunt.
My aunt Debbie.
- Oh my goodness!
♪ We hugged each other really tight, and I just whispered to her, into her ear, and I told her that I loved her already and I was so very happy to meet her.
Of course I'm wearing green!
I have green toes!
- Me too!
We had a big, long hug, and it just felt like family.
I mean, she was just welcoming me home, and we just, I felt connected to her instantly.
It was just awesome.
- I'm so excited.
- How are you?
- I'm good.
- Are you?
Yay, I'm so happy.
And you're Chris?
DeShae: And this is Chris.
- I'm so glad you're here.
- Glad to be here.
I have some other people for you to meet.
DeShae: Then she brought out more family, and I've learned that that's kind of a trend with the Love family.
They just keep on coming, and I am just happy to meet all of them.
- This is my daughter Melissa.
- Hey, Melissa!
So I got to meet two first cousins, Steven and Melissa, and then more of the family came out.
It was just really awesome.
Pam: And this is my husband, MR. - Good to meet you, MR. DeShae: Good to meet you.
Chris: Hi there.
- Hi, Chris, how are you?
- Good to meet you.
DeShae: Honestly, a big weight was lifted off my shoulders, because at least I knew one way or the other, and I felt like I could breathe easy and I was just ready to get to know her and the rest of the family and have a good day.
- Oh, my goodness gracious.
Dan: As the teams settle in after their sixth day of racing and meeting new family, Anitra, on Team Blue, has a question that's been weighing on her mind.
- Did you know anything about my birth and adoption or anything like that?
- This is what I understand.
You were born at home.
And she already had Kim.
- Right.
- She felt like she and Andrea were not able to take care of two.
- Right.
- And I know that she said, I called 9-1-1, Omega, and the baby was okay when the baby left.
And so that's all I know.
- Okay.
- I wish I knew more, but I don't.
Anitra: It made complete sense.
My mother was 17 years old and had two children within the same year.
This had to be an impossible decision for her to make, but a necessary one.
Omega: I am so sorry that you will not get to meet her in person.
Would you at this moment think about traveling to her gravesite?
Would you want to do that?
- [sighs] Sure.
- Sure?
- Yeah.
Omega: Okay.
[soft music] ♪ - Looking at all these pictures, I got this scroll that I'm adding all the names onto.
But, let's see.
I got grandmother's name, grandfather's name, mother, cousin, so.
I'm just kind of baffled as to who I would add next to it.
- Okay.
Well, I think I have two names for you.
Actually great-grandmother and great-grandfather.
So William Moore and Selena Pettifore.
And I actually have the census for William.
So here, the third name down.
Isn't this amazing?
This is 1920.
- Wow.
- 1920 and 1930 census report.
So someone's taken this all by hand.
Ray: This is amazing.
They showed pretty much a family tree, just not as modern, right, as it is now.
But it was the family tree of who is related to, um, my great-grandfather William Moore.
And it's never gonna stop blowing my mind to see how the census records were cared for and just see the entire family lineage built from today all the way back into the early 1900s.
It's-- it's amazing.
So today, I get to add to my family tree, my great-grandmother and great-grandfather on my grandfather's side.
♪ Then, Tathia shows me a picture of my family with a bunch of people that I already recognize.
- And here's another picture of the family.
Ray: Is this the whole family?
- Ooh!
Tathia: That's most of the family.
Do you see anybody that you-- - Uh, that's, um, Paula.
Is that Paula?
Tathia: Mm-hmm.
Ray: Yeah, that's definitely.
Nicole: And that's Alayna there.
Tathia: Mm-hmm.
Ray: Yep.
Ray: We see you.
Who's that?
- Lamonte.
- Let me see.
Tathia shows me this photo, and I've met pretty much everybody that's in the photo except for my brother, Lamonte.
He jumped out right at my wife as soon as she saw him.
I didn't recognize him, but, initially, but when I saw the picture, I was like, yep, that's the one person that I haven't met in that whole photo that I really, you know, anticipate meeting and look forward to meeting.
♪ Debbie: Stockyards Station.
This is Texas history at its best.
Yeah, we always want to bring people to the Stockyards and give them a little taste of Fort Worth.
[cheering] - Let's go, giddyup.
- No, don't giddyup.
No giddyup.
Debbie: No good.
DeShae: As many times as Chris and I have been to Texas, we've never been to the Stockyards.
Chris: We had a great time just kind of chatting and learning more about each other.
- When I got the first, the very first phone call about you, I couldn't even imagine.
And to think that you'd been out there all this time and we didn't know about you.
And we're so happy.
The anticipation for our whole family has just been over the top excitement and looking so forward to meeting you guys.
I don't know if you can comprehend how happy this makes us.
- I'm finally here.
Debbie: Finally, I know, right.
- I exist.
Debbie: Oh, no, it's here!
She's here!
They're coming, there they are!
Oh, no!
[laughing] - We've been feeling the same way, except for we just don't know who's on the other end, so it's a little bit more-- - I can't imagine.
- Anticipation too.
- I can't imagine what that's like.
We're really excited.
Seriously, we are.
- Excited to get to know you guys.
- We love you already.
- We love y'all too.
- Uh, ooh!
It's almost time for the cattle drive.
And you can't miss that.

Debbie: Here they come!

DeShae: So cool!
Debbie: Uh-huh.

- That was awesome.
- Did you love it?
- Yes.
♪ Dan: Back at the campsite, JD is learning more about his father, Steven, through his cousin Pam and great uncle, Glenn.
- Do you know anything about my father?
Glenn: As he was growing up, he got a job with a, with a truck service company, and upon changing a big truck tire with a locking ring, they aired it up, this was common, and as it was aired up, it blew up, blew the ring off, and really hurt him bad.
And it could have killed him, but he, you know, he was injured but came through it after, you know, a certain procedure.
JD: I'm a very tough, resilient guy in my own life.
I learned today that my father Steven was very much the same way.
I think I got a lot of that from him.
- Well, thank you.
- It's quite all right.
- And this is your grandma Emma's funeral services.
- I was able to see a picture of Steven's mother, my grandmother Emma today.
And I feel a real connection to her.
I'm excited to learn more about what an incredible woman she was.
I feel a certain draw to your sister.
- She's just a picture of love and service.
- She was just kind, service-oriented, loving, just didn't have an enemy in the world.
- I feel like having met you, I feel like I've met my grandma.
- Wow, thank you so much.
I try my best, and that's all you can do.

- When this all started, I didn't really feel like I needed to find my family, but as it's evolved, this has become a really incredible gift.
♪ DeShae: I came on this journey to meet my biological parents, and meeting Aunt Debbie today, I know that my mom and dad are still out there.
So I'm hoping that Aunt Debbie has some answers for me about my father.
So I've learned something new every single day that I have met family members.
But I've been trying to figure out how I'm connected to the Love family, so having met you today, I now know that I'm connected to you guys on my father's side.
So do you happen to know who my father is?
Debbie: Because you know that there's Mike and there's Rick, and you know we lost Rick last year.
That was hard, but what a character.
What a character!
- That's what I've heard.
- Oh, yes, yes.
- Yep.
- He was quite the character.
But my money was on Rick.
Because last year, we met two of his children that we had never met before.
And they were in their mid 40s.
- Right.
- Super great people.
DeShae: I think that everyone leans towards assuming it would be Rick, but until I get that concrete information, I'm just kind of still guessing.
But I am relieved to know that I'm connected to them on my father's side, so at least that is still another piece of the puzzle that I've been looking for from the beginning.
- Even so, you still have a lot of people in the Love family who love you very much already.
- I'm excited to meet everybody else.
- And we're super, super glad.
- Yes.
Debbie: To know about you.
- Yes, I'm happy to have met all of you guys.
- I know.
- It's great.
It was like she's been in our family forever.
I mean, it's like a piece that was lost has been found, just like she was meant to be here.
[somber music] ♪ Anitra: Pulling up to the church where my mom is buried, I am unsure.
I'm hesitant.
I don't know if I'm ready for this, but I know I wanna be here.
- I know she says she wants to do this, but I want to make sure she really does.
No one really knows how we're gonna feel in this moment, but I want her to know that I'm with her always.
♪ Anitra: I immediately feel calm.
There's this undeniable connection to her, and in this moment, all I want is to communicate with her.
I want to tell her thank you.
Thank you for making this incredibly difficult decision at an incredibly young age to let me go.
That decision really saved my life.
I have an incredible family, I have a beautiful daughter, I have a wonderful husband, I've had a wonderful life, and all of that is because of that choice you made.
Once I felt that sense of peace of things resolving, then I felt like I could put those flowers down.
Paul: I just had a sense of gratitude, you know?
And it was kind of a moment for me to let her mom know that I got her.
You know?
I'm gonna take care of her.
♪ Anitra: I'm grateful for today because I was able to tell my mother everything that I wanted her to know.
She did good.
- That's right.
- She did the right thing.
♪ ♪ ♪ Dan: As day six comes to a close, all of our teams are feeling the pressure of possibly receiving a strike.
DeShae: Really, it could be anybody's game right now, and the race changes daily.
- This is a very important one, because there is immunity on the line.
Dan: Having acquired two strikes already, Team Red is hoping they won't be sent home.
Really, it's that close?
Ray: We did everything we could, so now we just got our fingers crossed.
Jenn: Today was rough.
JD: Getting a strike will be hard, but if it means that Team Red and Ray can stay in the race a little longer and meet every single person he has intended to, I'm okay with it.
♪ Dan: Welcome to all four teams, and congratulations to making it to day six of Relative Race.
And this day was very different for one big reason.
You all knew that whoever finished in first place today was going to pick up immunity.
First of all, Team Red, what did that mean for the two of you as you got up and out and on the road?
- We wanted to be, um, prepared, stick with our plan, not deviate, and know that what we planned out was the right thing.
Dan: Today's challenge was Flix n Pix, a combination of movie titles and emojis.
I think it was probably fun, but yet a little futile for JD.
I take it you're not a huge movie fan and you probably don't use a lot of emojis.
- Never used an emoji in my life, Dan.
I had no idea what was coming up on the screen.
First of all, I don't even know why you would send stuff like that to another adult person.
[laughing] Dan: I saw the times for the three teams, Red, Blue, and Green, and you guys did very well.
Team Red, you get your relative's address, and then, it all started to fall apart.
- Nobody knows anything.
What I do know is that when they see the red shirts coming, everybody gets amnesia everywhere we go.
And it's like they all get together and say, let's get 'em.
Dan: Well, you're not the only ones that had a tough time after the challenge.
Team Black, can you please explain to us why a pickup truck had to take you to your relative?
Jenn: There has been so much rain.
- Rain on rain on rain on rain.
- And we are up a canyon, actually.
- It's a beautiful canyon, but the roads are like driving in peanut butter.
- So we needed to, our drive had to be finished by one of our relatives.
Dan: All right.
Well, it's called Relative Race.
And there's a reason why the relative comes first, because that is the most important thing.
Team Green, DeShae, you started this journey hoping to find the most important parts of your biological family.
Was another piece to the puzzle put in place today for you?
DeShae: It was, Dan.
From day one, I've gotten the names of biological family, and I've been slowly narrowing it down, process of elimination style, on who's my aunt or uncle versus dad or mother.
And today, I did find out that I am related to the Love family on my father's side, because today, I met my aunt, Debbie.
♪ - Hi there.
Dan: Oh, hi!
Wow.
Look at that resemblance.
- And also there's more surprises, 'cause I met her husband, MR, and two first cousins, Steven and Melissa, and their family, so we have had a very exciting and awesome day.
So still a lot of questions about my biological parents, but I do feel like I'm getting closer every day.
- Oh, that is fantastic.
Tough day for Team Red, but Raymond, I've asked you before and I'll ask you again.

- Two part answer: It absolutely was worth it, and I met my first cousin Tathia.
Say hello to my cousin.
- Hello.
Dan: Tathia, it's so nice to meet you.
You're beautiful.
- Thank you.
Nice meeting you as well.
- JD, Jenn, tough day.
Car accidents, road closures.
You had to get a pickup truck to take you in to meet your relative.
Who's that relative?
- On this journey, I found out that I had a grandma Emma, and today I got to meet her brother, my great uncle, and his daughter, Pam.
And... Jenn: And a lot more family.
JD: And a lot more family, but meeting him was like meeting my grandmother, and he is a slice of heaven here on earth.
I'm gonna introduce you to them now.
- Hi, Dan.
Dan: Oh, you guys are awesome!
You can sure see the family resemblance there passed down through the genes.
Anitra, another big smile.
- Yes!
Dan: Does that mean another big relative?
- Absolutely.
I had the opportunity to meet my great aunt Omega.
- Oh, hi!
Dan: Oh, hi!
- Hi!
Dan: Was she able to answer any questions that you had, Anitra?
- There were so many answers to what happened surrounding my mother's death to how I was brought into the world.
I was born at home, which was something that I didn't know.
Yeah, a lot of great answers today.
Dan: I hope that for each of you, after you meet your relative, you really look forward to spending additional time with them.
And today, for you, Anitra, that additional time was very poignant.
- So I had the opportunity to visit my mother's gravesite today.
And...
I was able to tell her... To tell her thank you for making such a hard decision at 17, one that I know I couldn't have made.
But also for giving me an opportunity for a better life, to be adopted by an awesome family, a great family.
And although it wasn't physical, I do believe that spiritually, I was able to communicate that to her today.
Dan: I think your mother heard you.
And most importantly, you now know where she rests.
And that is something that only those who are searching for their parents can understand.
And we are so grateful that you had that opportunity today.
♪ Team Red, you have two strikes.
A third one today means you're gonna be mighty grateful that you have that golden relative ticket.
Team Green, Team Black, and Team Blue, each of you has one strike.
Whoever finishes in first place today wins immunity tomorrow.
The team that does not have to worry about a clock tomorrow, because they clocked in only two minutes over their allotted time...
Team Blue, that's back-to-back wins.
It's a good thing you had step-by-step directions to your relative's house.
Remember, that's what you won yesterday.
Without that, you wouldn't have had the win today.
I can tell you that the team that finished in second place was only two minutes behind Team Blue.
- Wow.
- That's fast.
Dan: And that's Team Green.
- Whoo!
Dan: Congratulations, Team Green.
You finished in second place.
Finishing in third place, 32 minutes over their allotted time, you can keep that golden ticket, because Team Red, you finished in third.
Team Black, you finished 35 minutes over your allotted time, and you have picked up your second strike on Relative Race.
JD and Jenn, you are one strike away from having to use your golden ticket.
Remember that tomorrow, and for all of you, remember that tomorrow ultimately brings you one step closer to another relative, and that's what this race is all about.
