Jaime: There it is.

[shutter clicks] That's the money shot.
Dan: Hannah added another cousin to her family.
Hannah B.: I told myself I wouldn't cry, and I think I'm going to.
Scott: It's very emotional.
Hannah B.: Yes.
Dan: The Foshee roots grew deeper as a new cousin unraveled a family tree.
Jamie: Oh my goodness.
Jansen: I feel like I'm finding treasure maps and we're gonna have to go find the treasure.
Dan: Jaime found himself in his grandmother's arms once again.
Dan: Shawn's childhood wish for a sibling came true.
- I've always wanted a brother, and... that's what I got today.
Dan: After winning the photo challenge, Team Blue took first and was awarded the prize of a call home.
Congratulations to Team Blue.
- Thank you.
Dan: And a second strike destroys Team Red's confidence.
Jaime: That's really frustrating.
- It's beyond frustrating.
- So frustrating.
Dan: DNA tells us who we are and where we came from.
Following their own DNA, four teams are racing... Hannah: Oh my gosh!
Dan: ...to win $50,000... Alex: Fingers crossed.
Dan: ...and to find their family.
[knocking] Singer: ♪ Oh, oh, oh, oh ♪ ♪ Oh, oh-oh ♪ ♪ Oh, oh, oh, oh ♪ ♪ Oh, oh-oh ♪ ♪ Oh, oh, oh, oh ♪ ♪ Oh, oh-oh ♪ ♪ Dan: Dawn breaks over Day 7, and with two teams one strike away from elimination, the pressure is on.
Alex: Last night, we got a strike, and it completely zapped our confidence.
Curtis: We won first place last night.
Um, have no idea where we're goin', but, we're definitely ready.
Hannah: This day really matters.
- This is the day to take first.
- Yes.
- We're refocused today.
We're gonna get back on it, and we're gonna dominate.
Dominate!
- Dominate!
- We're done with third, we're done with fourth.
First.
Dan: With elimination looming overhead, Team Blue starts the day in Nashville, Tennessee, and Team Red in Newburgh, New York.
Safe with only one strike, Team Green starts in Springfield, Missouri, and Team Black in Effingham, Illinois, where their cowgirl cousin, Danielle, gets ready for a morning ride.
Danielle: Horses are in my blood, and barrel racing is my whole life, so I asked Jamie and Jansen if they'd like to go for a ride, and they said, absolutely, and it was really fun catchin' up.
How ya doin'?
Jamie: I'm fine.
Danielle: Good!
Jamie: They already had horses ready for us, and we just climbed up and took off.
It was, it was great.
Danielle: Yeah, I used to give guided rides through the Rocky Mountains.
Jansen: Ooo, that'd be fun.
Danielle: I feel right at home.
The ride me, Jamie, and Jansen went on was so beautiful.
It had green grass everywhere, green trees, beautiful skies.
It was absolutely a beautiful ride.
Jansen: Well, I'm gonna be honest, it was a great day today to get to spend time with my cousin, riding horses, in a place I've never seen before in Illinois.
♪ Jaime: [clears throat] Uh, Grandma?
Leticia: Yes.
Jaime: Alex promised that he'd learn how to braid my hair before the trip so I could have freshly braided hair every day, and he did not learn.
Leticia: [laughs] - No.
Jaime: ¡Embustero que sos!
All: [laugh] Alex: I don't know what that means, but okay.
- It means you're a liar.
No, I'm joking!
[laughs] No, but it does, though.
My grandma this morning saw my hair was a mess, and she offered to braid my hair for me, very, very nicely.
- Yeah.
Look!
I'm braiding.
Jaime: [laughs] I feel like I missed out on that for years.
That's kind of a thing that our aracoels, our grandmas, do for us, is, like, tend to our needs.
Um, she is just a typical Taíno grandmother.
She has her ofrenda, she is very a part of her grandkids.
She's a doting, loving, I mean-- Alex: Loving.
Jaime: Not only to our family.
- Underline loving.
- Not only to our family, but she's, like, the compound's grandma, here.
Alex: Absolutely.
Jaime: Which is just very typical of grandmas in our culture.
It feels like home.
I can't wait to learn all about our family.
- Morning of Day 7.
I got to spend the night with my brother, Kevin.
Uh, dude, I just, uh, it's just been such a wild ride, I... - No, it's been crazy, man.
Shawn: Spending time with my brother was just awesome.
We were talking about all the things that we've done, and, uh, just being able to, to share our stories and really just grow our bond together was just so awesome for me to experience.
Kevin: Since just yesterday, we've, me and my brother, we kinda bonded over, like, pretty much everything.
It has been a start to a pretty strong bond, I feel like.
♪ Hannah B.: Well, good morning.
How'd you guys sleep?
- Slept very good.
Hannah B.: Yeah?
Ready for today?
Hannah: We're never actually-- Scott: Doesn't matter.
- Yeah, no.
We're never actually ready, but... Hannah B.: Yeah, well, I know you guys got a lot to do, but I wanted to take this time to show you some stuff.
Here I have a family tree for you guys.
Um, it shows you, so here's you, Hannah, and Scott.
And this right here is gonna be your dad, Phillip Anthony Crimi, and then this is gonna be your grandpa and your great-grandpa.
You are gonna be, I think, third generation Italian.
Scott: Third-generation Italian from Sicily.
- Mm-hm.
Scott: Early on in this journey, I was able to learn about my biological father, and now, I'm learning more about my biological grandparents and tracing their roots back to Italy.
Hannah: Never in a billion years did I think both sides of family would be able to trace back exactly where family came from.
- So, this right here is Carl and Rosario.
So, this will be your grandfather and grandma.
Scott: Oh my gosh.
Wow.
That is just, I mean, wow.
Hannah B.: Yeah.
[chuckles] I thought it was really cool.
He always-- he's smiling in this picture.
Hannah: I was, yeah, I like that one.
Hannah B.: Yeah.
Hannah: Smiling a little bit.
Hannah B.: Now you got a part of your history right here on your dad's side.
- Uh, that's incredible.
Hannah: That is super cool.
Hannah B.: Yeah.
Scott: Hannah brings out this beautiful print for my biological grandfather.
It captured a beautiful moment in time that we love.
This is overwhelming.
I mean, this is just, they're so beautiful.
Hannah B.: Yeah, I'm glad you like them, yeah.
Hannah: Thank you so much.
Hannah B.: Of course.
♪ [clock ticking] [phone dings] Jamie: Where we goin'?
Jansen: Where we goin' today?
Alex: "Good morning, teams, and welcome to Day 7 of Relative Race."
- "Team Blue will be traveling to..." Both: "Evansville, Indiana."
Jansen: "Team Black will be traveling to Roanoke, Indiana."
Alex: "Team Red will be traveling to Great Neck, New York."
Hannah: "And Team Green will be traveling to St. Louis, Missouri."
Curtis: "Today's photo subject is an..." Jansen: "...artistic close-up..." Alex: "...of any subject you choose."
We got that.
Jaime: Wha--?!
Alex: "The first place prize..." Hannah: "...you are competing for is immunity."
- Oh my goodness, we gotta win today.
Danielle: Oh, wow!
- Immunity?
- [breathily] Wha... [normal] "Your time starts now."
Wow.
Jaime: I gotta go, I love you.
Hannah: Thank you.
Hannah B.: Thank you, you guys.

Scott: We will.
Danielle: Good luck!

Shawn: Oh, my goodness, dude.
Kevin: Y'all have a good one.
Shawn: Thank you!
Hannah: Big one first.
Shawn: Evansville.
Curtis: Evansville, Indiana.
Jaime: Go!
- All right, cool.
♪ Dan: All four teams are off, rolling towards their destination cities, and with immunity on the line today, everyone is hyper-focused.
- We need to get that immunity today.
For sure.
- This immunity could save us from getting our third strike on Day 8.
- Yeah.
- If we get immunity... Scott: We're guaranteed Day 10.
Jamie: We win today, we're guaranteed Day 10.
Shawn: You still feelin' like Team Red's our toughest comp?
- Yeah, I still think Team Red is our, our toughest competition.
Until they're, uh, eliminated... yeah.
Shawn: Yeah.
Dan: Team Blue is hoping to knock out Team Red as they travel from Nashville, Tennessee, to Evansville, Indiana.
They'll have to complete a challenge and find their relative, all in an allotted time of two hours and nine minutes.
[phone pings] [vibration] Jamie: Here we go.
What?
- Being a gentleman means ladies first.
- That works, don't it?
- Yeah.
Hannah: [gasps] Oh, that was good, Black Team.
- What'd they do?
- Black Team said - Aaaa-oh!
Hannah: That was good.
I'mma, which one of y'all thought of that, 'cause that was pretty good.
- Wah, wah, wah.
Jamie: Ma'am.
We will hold the door until you walk through.
- Ha!
You should say that.
- [laughs] Scott: [laughs] Hannah: I'mma pop one of them when we see them.
Dan: Team Black is feeling chivalrous as they travel to Roanoke, Indiana, with an allotted time of 2 hours and 49 minutes.
Two states over, Team Green navigates to St. Louis, Missouri, with an allotted time of three hours and three minutes.
Rapper 1: ♪ Can't stop ♪ Rapper 2: Work!
Rapper 1: ♪ Won't stop ♪ Rapper 2: Work!
Rapper 1: ♪ Can't stop ♪ Rapper 2: Work!
[beat builds in intensity] Jaime: I am home.
So all the teams know I am home, and there's no traffic!
No traffic!
And we're home, and we're home, and no traffic!
Alex: [growly] No traffic!
Jaime: Sendin' that to the teams.
Sendin' that to everybody right now.
[beat builds] Rapper 1: ♪ New York City ♪ ♪ Clap your hands if you feel me ♪ ♪ Brooklyn, cl-lap your hands, clap if you feel me ♪ Dan: Jaime is heading home to the Big Apple as they travel to the Great Neck suburb of New York City.
They have the shortest allotted time of the day at 1 hour and 36 minutes.
♪ [tender piano music] - So... [long exhale] It's kinda surreal bein' back up here, ain't it.
- I mean, shoot, we were just here a couple weeks ago, and... Jamie: I know.
Jansen: We got out at the airport to go see, uh, Billy Jack in the hospital.
Jamie: We might-- - We took this highway, specifically.
Jamie: This, that's the last time we was on this highway headed this direction because we was tryin' to get to see my dad in case somethin' happened because we didn't know.
- We didn't know if we was gonna get to see him.
- We didn't have a clue if he was even gonna make it.
I was preparin' to go on Relative Race when I got the call from the show that my dad was in the hospital.
[emotionally] And it's not the best situation.
This is not how I expected this journey to begin.
On Day 1, my cousin Gwen let me know that my dad was out of the hospital, and he was improving, and since then, my other relatives have let me know that he's gettin' better and better, every day.
We're gonna get a lotta answers today, you know that?
- Seems like we got a lotta answers every day.
Jamie: I know, but I'm just sayin', you know, knowin' that my dad is still alive...
I'm just...
I'm beyond blessed.
For everything that's goin' on.
♪ Curtis: We won first place last night, so we get a five-minute call, but, uh, while driving through one of the small towns, I decided it would be a good time to, you know, just stop and call my daughter and kind of reflect on what we've been dealing with.
[phone rings] Woman 1: Hello?
Curtis: What's up, daughter?
- Hey!
Curtis: Hey, wow!
Shantell: How's it goin'?
- It's been a journey up until this point.
My daughter had a lotta insightful questions, and, you know, encouragement along with it.
So, um, and she was very supportive with that.
Shantell: How are you feeling about keeping these relationships with the people that you have been meeting?
- This biological side, we're going to definitely stay in touch, because... it's a lot.
- Yeah.
Curtis: But the reception overall is one of, you know, happiness, you know.
- Okay.
Curtis: They're embracing the situation, um...
It's been very inviting.
Yeah, after speaking with her, it's, it really energized me, you know.
It really uplifted me.
Well, I'll, I'll be in touch.
Um, my five minutes is up.

Scott: That's why I went this way!
Curtis: Evansville.
Shawn: Evansville, here we are.
[phone pings and vibrates] Jamie: Oh!
We got a text message!
Jaime: "Welcome to Great Neck."
Hannah: "Your challenge is located at..." Jamie: "...Roanoke Park."
Jaime: We got here.
We're here.
Woo!
Scott: Yeah!
Curtis: 24 West, correct?
- Yes.
Jamie: I think it's gonna be right over there at the baseball field!
You was right.
- Allenwood Park, there it is!
All right.
Shawn: Found it.
Curtis: Right there.
Jaime: Let's go.
Let's go!
Scott: Go.
Hannah: Go!
Curtis: Rip that thing open, let's see!
Jamie: What's it say, what's it say?
Alex: Welcome to Don't Get Scrambled.
♪ [rubber chicken squawks] Dan: Day 7's challenge is Don't Get Scrambled.
Teams must throw three different sizes of egg-shaped containers back and forth, protecting the real egg inside.
Teams must use beneficial and non-beneficial items to fill each size container.
Once filled, the tossing begins.
Unveil three unbroken eggs, one of each size, to complete this challenge.
- Let's go.
Curtis: You can do the eggs.
Jamie: All right, I got it.
I gotta a bag.
I'm gon' get some screws.
Hannah: One egg, okay.
Um, lemme think.
Shawn: This is some sorta egg toss, but, obviously, if this is Relative Race, it's not gonna be that simple.
Alex: We put the broccoli in the plastic bag?
Jaime: Yep, yep.
Hannah: When we get to the table, we have different items, good and bad.
Jansen: Like screws and golf balls and marbles.
Jamie: There's ten screws.
Hannah: We had to use at least two good items... [audience cheers] - ...two bad items.
[audience boos] - The good items would protect the egg; the bad items would probably break the egg.
Jaime: Put the egg inside the broccoli and put another, uh, bag around it.
Alex: Yeah, we gotta use three plastic bags.
The number one, each bin indicates how many of that item we have to use.
Curtis: Uh... Shawn: Two?
Curtis: Two.
The egg goes in that... Shawn: Egg goes in the bag, all right.
Jansen: Well, do it this way.
Jaime: The good items we chose were the ziplock bags and the broccoli.
Shawn: Broccoli, and the ziplock bags.
Jansen: And we also decided to tear the broccoli head up.
Hannah: So we wrapped it in a plastic bag as, like, a cushion.
Scott: 'Kay.
Hannah: Yep, go, hurry.
Scott: Okay.
Jaime: We gotta use everything, so... Alex: Every egg has to be built differently, so we can't just use the same items over and over again.
Curtis: 'Kay, 15 more of those.
Shawn: Our bad items were the marbles and screws.
Jamie: Gimme a bag.
We're gonna use the screws with golf balls.
Scott: Get 15 marbles, and I'll get, uh, 5 pasta shells.
Hannah: And then we used another plastic bag to keep them from bouncing around.
Alex: Hang on, I got it, I... Curtis: Yep.
Shawn: 'Kay.
Curtis: One more.
Jamie: That'll work, go, go!
Go to the other side.
Hannah: So I have to be here?
Scott: Yep.
And we go to the line, and, I give it a little chuck over to Hannah and try and do it very gingerly and slowly.
Hannah: If it didn't work, then, we're gonna have to rethink everything.
Our legs are behind the line.
♪ Hannah: All right, egg is good!
[ding] Okay.
Jaime: Safe egg.
Alex: Put it in there!
The nest.
Shawn: That's a whole egg.
Curtis: Okay.
Let's put it in the nest.
- We finished the pink one, and we're like, hey.
We didn't break that one, we're good.
No cracks.
Jansen: No cracks, we're good.
But then we get thrown a curveball.
Jamie: Egg's good.
Let's g-- Oh, I dropped it!
[bzz] The egg busts.
And I'm thinkin', we have our first disaster.
That means we gotta get another one and start over!
You gotta hurry!
You got a egg?
Jaime: Ten straws, ten straws, two rubber bands.
- Where's the egg?
Jaime: Here.
Alex: All right.
Jaime: We wrapped the egg in the straws, rubber band everything together.
Alex: We got it figured out.
Shawn: Next one.
How 'bout if we use... Curtis: We could put the egg... Shawn: ...two sponges.
- Yep.
Shawn: Our sponges, the egg, and the ziplock bags, put those all together, tightened it up.
Hannah: I say straws and broccoli.
Scott: Straws and broccoli.
Hannah: Okay.
So, almost build, like, a little nest.
Scott: It was very tight.
I felt that was better because the egg inside can't move whatsoever.
- Second attempt, we grab our second egg.
I run to the first line, and he tosses the egg to me.
Jamie: Off the line.
Ready?
[clink] - [heavy exhale] Jamie: Right back.
[grunts] Jansen: And I don't know if this thing broke or not.
[ding] Jamie: No cracks.
Jansen: No cracks, we're good.
And it didn't even get fazed.
We didn't crack no egg.
♪ Alex: Is that what you want?
Jaime: Yes.
Alex: All right, cr-crush 'em, crush 'em, crush 'em, crush 'em, crush 'em.
Jaime: For the challenging items, we had pasta, which we crushed up, and blocks.
Curtis: You just throw the shells in there.
We can just put it all inside.
Shawn: Yeah, exactly.
Curtis: Yep.
- We're gonna use the shells as our bad.
Scott: Oh, that's a good idea.
It was all packed in there so tight, so I kinda actually thought that was gonna be all right.
Jansen: [sighs] I don't know which one to do.
Jamie: Just grab one!
We ain't got time!
Curtis: Okay, cool.
Shawn: All right.
Scott: This is perfect.
Hannah: Are you-- It is opening, Dad.
Are you positive?
Scott: I am positive.
Jaime: Yeah, you gotta, like, get, get it down.
Alex: I did that!
[soft thud] [intense music] ♪ [thunk] Scott: Oh.
It hits the ground.
Hannah, I could tell was freaked out, but... We'll see when it gets back.
Hannah: Please be good.
Scott: Okay, okay.
Hannah: Ugh, just, ch-- [gasps] Oh my gosh, are we good?
[gasps] Scott: Yes, we are.
Hannah: We are good!
It's not cracked!
Scott: Put it in the basket, put in the basket!
Curtis: Augh!
Shawn: It's whole, it's whole.
- Okay.
Shawn: All right, another one.
[ding] Curtis: That's done.
Alex: Just, just get open, just-- Jaime: I'm trying, it's, the egg's fine.
Watch.
Bam!
Two eggs.
Yep, yep, yep.
[bzz] Alex: Aw, no, it's cracked!
Jaime: All right.
Alex: Do it again, just pull it out, just pull it out.
Jaime: Go ahead.
The hardest part of this entalen-- entire challenge was it came back broken.
Alex: These are not on here well.
Jamie: Don't make it too, don't make it too tight.
Jansen: I know, I know.
♪ Hannah: Our egg is good, our egg is really good.
Scott: Our egg is good!
We threw three eggs; no broken eggs.
All right, let's go, let's go, let's go!
Hannah: We're done, we're done, we're done!
Curtis: Come on!
[ding] Shawn: Yes, sir.
Curtis: Yes, sir!
On this challenge, I think we did really good.
I think we made up some time.
Okay, cool, let's go!
Hannah: "Your relative lives at..." - "112 Jefferson Street."
Hannah: Okay.
Scott: Let's go.
Hannah: Let's go, come on!
Curtis: Come on!
[laughs] [intense chord] Jansen: Third egg, we got one left, it's the little egg, and we've used most of our stuff, so we have to use the straws.
Oh, yeah.
Ooo!
Don't run away.
Jaime: The last egg that we did was the, uh, the sponges.
We, uh, screwed the screws into the outside of the sponges and used the rubber bands to hold it all together.
Alex: No!
Watch the egg.
Wha-- No, go-- Jaime: I got it, I got it.
Alex: Out, outward, outward, outward.
Jaime: I'm going through the both of them to the outward, look, I'm going, I'm going.
Jamie: I had the hard items on the other side, so, I'm thinkin', pasta, marbles.
This is gonna be no problem.
Jaime: Done, all right.
Alex: Put it here.
Jaime: This is, look at how tight this is, bro.
Jamie: All right, let's go.
Alex: The long way?
All the way?
Jaime: Yep.
Alex: All right.
Jansen: Easy.
♪ Alex: Here we go.
Jaime: That egg's cracked, I think.
♪ [ding] Boom, done!
Alex: Done.
Jaime: Call it.
Done, done, done, done, let's go!
Jansen: Egg's fine.
Jamie: Egg's fine.
[ding] We're done!
Alex: "Your relative lives at..." Jansen: "5170 West..." Alex: "36th Street..." Jaime: We passed 36th Street on the way in.
- "...Brooklyn, New York."
- We passed 36th Street on the way in.
Alex: Let's do it.
Jamie: Let's go!
Dan: The challenge may be complete, but all four teams still need to send in their photo of an artistic close-up.
Hannah: What if Superman was holding the Arch?
- [gasps] Oh.
My.
Gosh.
Hannah, I think that's brilliant.
Dan: Today's photo challenge is an artistic close-up.
Teams have 30 minutes off the clock to find and submit their best photo.
Jamie: We got a lotta options.
Jansen: Park right here?
Jamie: Park right there!
Alex: Before we left the challenge today, we decided to get our picture out of the way.
Jaime: That's pretty dope.
Curtis: Okay, so what we thinkin'?
Shawn: Uh... Hannah: You hold him.
Do not drop him.
[shutter clicks] You can kinda still see the arch.
Scott: Yeah.
Jansen: Let's, uh, find somebody who can hold hands.
Jaime: And then let's get a top-down on this plant.
Alex: Yeah, go ahead.
Jaime: Come this way.
Alex: Do it.
Curtis: Uh, come here, real quick.
Shawn: Yep.
Curtis: You see this bee right here?
Shawn: Yeah.
Curtis: Can you get down there and get that?
[shutter snaps] No.
That doesn't look good.
Let's go over here so we don't get stung.
[laughs] Shawn: Right, yeah, that sounds like a good idea.
Jansen: We keep walkin' down the street, and we see a door with an American flag on it.
[shutter snaps] Jamie: This is gonna be perfect.
Hannah: I really like this grass because it was such a light background, and he's got such bright colors.
[camera shutter snaps] Yes, that is perfect.
Scott: That was awesome.
Alex: I feel like everybody's gonna do a flower, but... We decided to take a picture of a flower just because of the immense detail.
[shutter snaps] Jaime: That's it!
Alex: That's it, that's the one?
Jaime: Sure, yeah, send it.
Alex: All right.
Shawn: Right at the last moment, we see these kids playin' a fun lawn game, so we go and ask their parents if we can take a photo.
Three, two, one.
Curtis: Toss.
[camera shutter snaps] Shawn: All right.
Curtis: Zyoomp.
Shawn: We got it!
Jaime: Go, go, go!
Alex: Ay, ay, ay.
♪ Jamie: Go, go, go!
♪ [engine revs] Dan: Photos have been submitted and challenges completed, which means... Jamie: See what's happenin', what this road is up here.
Dan: ...it's an all-out dash to find new family.
- I'm just gonna keep drivin' down here.
Look at the map.
I don't know, maybe we'll get lucky and run into somethin'.
We're definitely ready to go see a relative, but this town is new to us, we have no idea where we're going.
- Do you wanna ask?
- Nope, nope.
The next street, gonna make a left.

Meeting my brother for the first time is, like, I feel like it's the biggest blessing I've ever received in my life.
We didn't know what was gonna happen, who we was gonna meet, and... - Didn't know what you got yourself into?
Jamie: I didn't even know if I, if my dad was still livin' until two weeks ago.
- Wow.
Jamie: When he was in the hospital.
Josh: Yeah.
- I felt like he knew we was there because he squeezed our hands.
Josh: Squeezed your hand, yeah, yep.
Jamie: And, and, um, but, that was it, and, and at the time, they couldn't give us no answers.
- Yeah, he was, uh, pretty much unconscious.
- Yeah.
Josh: When, the next day, when he did come through, and, the first thing he says is he wanted you guys right there.
I'm just sad that it's so long till we finally got to get together and, you know, meet each other.
Jansen: But at least we got to meet each other.
Josh: That's right, that's what I told my dad, you know, when he was in the hospital and stuff.
I told him, I said, look, Dad, God's providin' this opportunity that you're actually gonna meet 'im, you know, and-- - Josh shared with us about the visit that we had with my dad in the hospital.
Josh told us that he truly believes that, by us coming up here, is what helped him pull through, and that, just, it's, it's, it's amazing.
I, I think back on it, and I'm like, my goodness.
I mean, I've, I've missed a lot, but you know what, I'm gonna m-- I'm gonna do my best to make up for it while I still got time.
And, uh, so, whatever time we have, we wanna make, make the best of it.
I'm just, I'm just blown away, man.

- Uh, my dad told me, actually, when I was, when I was 12 years old.

Josh: Uh, yeah, he just told me that there could be a possibility, uh, that I have a brother out there.

Uh, I know that him and my mom, when my mom was pregnant with me, had went down and talked to your grandpa, and, you know, your grandpa was like a, we know he's our grandson.
We're not sure about the other side, so please allow us, since your mom died, to, to let us keep 'im, and stuff.
And, I know it was real hard for my dad.

He did not wanna do that, but he felt the same way.
Like, back then, DNA wasn't what it is nowadays, okay?
You know, you can't run a DNA test or whatever, or... so... Jamie: Mmm.

- See, I didn't know, I didn't know all that.
Josh: It was really hard because I know my dad loves him, and I know he wanted to be part of his life, and the fact that the situation, the way it was, uh, it didn't come full circle till now.
It's hard on me, too, because [sniffs] I just felt like he should've been here.
Jamie: Josh told me what it was like with my dad, and he reiterated so many things that everybody else has said.
My dad, he had an idea, but he wasn't positive.
Josh: I got a picture right here I want you to look at.
This is, uh, me, my dad, my brother.
Jamie: Wow.
Josh: And I, I just feel like you should be standin' right here with us.
Maybe right there in that spot right there, you know?

I feel like, not in a bad way, but in a certain way, that Jamie missed out on that, and I, I just, not that his situation was bad, but, you know, all those years are gone, and you can't get 'em back.

Jasmine actually told me about you first.
Um, I didn't know, and, it was really important to me that we participated because our sons are adopted, and, when they're older and looking for family, we want them to feel loved and wanted.
Um, because everybody is deserving of affection and family.
And, so we wanted you to know that you have that with us.

Sharon: Shawn reacted emotionally when I told him about my kids, and I hope it let him know that that is how I feel about Shawn, that he is loved and wanted in our family.
Sharon: Okay, so, um, knowing that you didn't really have a ton of pictures of your family, I put together, like, a little notebook with some pictures, and I did a little family tree so that you could, like, understand all the labels on the pictures.
Shawn: Oh, wow.
- And our family tree.
Shawn: [laughs] When my cousin Sharon, uh, shared this photo album with me, uh...
I felt that love that she said she wanted to extend to me, and, knowing that we have that connection just, just makes this relationship between she and I even more stronger.

Jaime: Um, being 12 years old in a, in a, in a, you know, in an adopted family's home, um, you know, whenever things weren't going good, I'd be like, where's my mom?
Does she love me?
Does she care about me?
Is she thinking about me?
Like, not knowing whether you were thinking about me was tough on me.
- It was extremely difficult.
There's a lot of, a lot of, um, emotional damage, and... Yous don't even know how special, how important you are all to me.
Nothing would make up for not having you.
Each and every one of you.
Jaime: As a father, I couldn't imagine losing any of my kids.
Um, hearing how hard she struggled and how hard she fought really, um, hit me right in the heart.
Just to imagine it from her perspective and see the world through her eyes, how painful that must have been to lose us, and, I'm just happy to be able to console her and let her know that everything turned out all right.
- The last time I saw you when they were taking you, when they were removing you, I remember making sure, specifically asking you to take care of your brothers and your sister because they couldn't speak for themselves or fend for themselves.
I wanna apologize for asking you to take on such a big task 'cause I felt like that was a big burden to put on such a small child, and I'm sorry for that.

Jaime: Before we started this journey, I had played this scenario a thousand times in my head.
I'll say that after meeting my beautiful family, um, starting with Justin and Madison and, and the stories and the, the, the, the backstory that they gave me, and then meeting Leticia, um, really, really prepared me for getting to this door and meeting my mother in a way that I don't think I would've been prepared if I had met my mother first.
Um, I'm very happy that the... that things turned out exactly the way they did, and I'm, I'm happy to have been given the opportunity to have closure.
And, you know, we cried it out.
We, we, we, we hugged and cried, and, and I feel much lighter.
I feel like the goal of this race for me was to let people who lost us know that we were okay.
Um, and I think we've accomplished that very successfully.
I don't have any re-resentment towards you, only because Leticia told, through, through bouts of tears and through choked emotions, how hard it was seeing you struggle for the years that you fought for us.
- I really believed that they would come looking when it was time, and this is the time.
There's a time and a place for everything.
I loved 'im from the moment he was born, and I never stopped loving him.

Scott: This is my niece, Alyssa.
Dan: Aw, you guys look so much alike!
Curtis: [laughs] Jaime: It's crazy.

- Dan, we wanna introduce you to... my brother, Josh.

Jaime: After 49 years, I have a brother, and I can't be more excited.
This is amazing.

Jamie: Exactly.
You don't know what this means to me.
I don't think anybody out of all four teams can explain, in words, what this means for all of us.
This has changed our lives, and my life is changed forever, and I'm gonna make up for all that lost time we've missed.
Dan: Speaking of lost time, I am looking straight at Jaime.
Did you know who was waiting for you?
Jaime: I-I'd be remiss if I said I didn't have somewhat of an idea, but, when I got outta the car and my mother was standing there?
Shawn: [gasps] Jaime: Who I haven't seen in 28 years?
We were separated in the foster care system 28 years ago, and here's Chimene, my mother.
- Wow.
Chimene: Hi, God bless.
- What a blessing, Dan.
You have no idea the, the, the change that my family is, is going through, currently, and will be going through for the next few months as we try to reconnect with siblings and aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews and now my mother and my grandmother?
What an amazing experience for us, um, I mean, it was just a perfect end to a perfect day.
Dan: Again, I thank all eight of you for allowing us to be along this ride on your journeys.
However... [sighs] Day 7 comes to a close.
The difference between first and third... four minutes, total.
Jaime: Oh.
Jansen: Oh my gosh.
Dan: Four minutes, total.
And this might be the most important day ever because the winner gets immunity tomorrow.
Finishing one minute over their allotted time...

Shawn: [laughs] Dan: Two minutes behind Team Blue, only three minutes over their allotted time...

In the end, Team Black, you finished five minutes over your allotted time and are safe in third place.
Team Green, you finished 37 minutes over your allotted time, and you have picked up your second strike on Relative Race.
However, there's a photo contest, and with three teams within four minutes of each other, immunity is still up for grabs.
