A new film on Instagram gives a first-hand account of what life was like before slavery.

The DuSable Museum and film studio Stelo Stories are teaming up to tell the story of a West African boy kidnapped into slavery. "Equiano Stories" is a new film that can only be viewed on Instagram. It brings to life the story of Olaudah Equiano, who was enslaved at 11 years old in 1756. His memoir is told in a series of stories posted over a 48-hour period.
