According to the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
American whiskey exports dropped 20% when the extra tariffs were in effect from 2018 to 2021.
Tariffs on US exports were implemented during Donald Trump's presidency.
In response to the US hiking tariffs on imported steel and aluminum, the Kentucky Distillers Association applauded the EU's announcement, which came less than a week after the KDA announced steady growth for the bourbon industry in Kentucky.
