Celebrating Evelyn Daniel Anderson in honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment

Evelyn Daniel Anderson became severely disabled at the age of 4 and was unable to stand, walk, or sit. She followed her passion of teaching even though it was illegal for people with disabilities to be hired to teach in Alabama. Her dedication & effectiveness as a teacher inspired the Alabama School Board & State Senate to repeal the prohibition in 1953.
