(bright music) - With themes of friendship, love, and transformation, what better way to celebrate "Grantchester's" final season on PBS than with an exclusive, free, community screening?
Here in the studio now to talk about this is Laura Durham.
Welcome.
- [Lauren] Hi, Liz.
- How excited for you, are you about this event and the opportunity for people to get together to celebrate the kickoff of the final season?
- Well, I have to say there are many aspects to my job, but one of my favorite things is gathering our drama fans at Broadway Centre Cinemas for a Masterpiece screening.
You know, you talked about love and friendship and transformation.
You forgot to mention murder because this is a Masterpiece mystery drama.
And it is a favorite, and it's entering its final season.
So this is gonna be the last opportunity that people have to come and gather with us to watch it.
- Yeah, and talk about it afterwards and kind of congregate and hang out.
I hear there's gonna be refreshments for people, like tea?
- [Laura] Yeah, yeah.
So we always like to have a little bit of an element of gathering, like you mentioned, and so we're gonna, we're calling it a vicarage tea, like they would on the show when they gather after church and have coffee and tea and refreshments.
So we're gonna do that before the screening.
- That's excellent, and people will also be able to, not only RSVP for themselves for this exclusive screening, but for, at least, a few others as well.
- Yeah, we are letting people RSVP for up to four.
It is kind of a family affair.
People like to bring their girlfriends or their husbands.
It really is so much fun to see our drama fans together.
Because these are, when you talk about TV shows, which this is essentially a TV show, you think about being at home on the couch, either by yourself or maybe just, you know, with one or two other people.
To gather with people who are also fans of this show, I just love standing in that theater and listening to collective laughs, sometimes some sniffles, because it is a sweet show.
In addition to it being, you know, murder really is just the catalyst for what you talked about love and friendship and transformation.
It's what we call a cozy mystery.
So it is a sweet show.
- Yeah, so go online and RSVP, that way no one complains that you spoiled the show for them, or- - Exactly.
- Yeah, let them know something they weren't supposed to know.
Well, if you would like to participate and sign up for this exclusive screening, we've got the information on your screen.
It's happening on June 4th from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Broadway Centre Cinemas.
Just head to pbsutah.org/events for more details on the "Grantchester" screening.
I'm Liz Adeola and thank you for watching "Contact."
