Democratic lawmakers give cold shoulder to governor's plan for expanding abortion access
Abortion is legal in New Jersey and will remain so no matter how the Supreme Court rules since it was codified into state law last January, but Gov. Phil Murphy wants to further expand access, with bills requiring insurance companies to provide coverage and broadening the pool of providers. The prospects for the legislation are fading, however.
