Father Robert Drinan talks with Marcia Franklin about political and moral issues of the day. Drinan, a Jesuit priest and lawyer, was the first priest to serve in Congress. In 1979, Pope John Paul II ordered him not to run again, saying that Drinan couldn’t be both a priest and a politician. Drinan continued to write and speak on issues of ethics and morality. He died on January 28, 2007.
