Policymakers say with the economy growing, extra stimulus is no longer needed
The Federal Reserve said on Wednesday it expects to start increasing interest rates next spring, that’s something that’s typically done when inflation is red hot. The Fed is also shifting away from policies it put in place to support the economy during the pandemic. With the economy growing and companies hiring again, that extra stimulus is no longer needed, according to policymakers.
