Yaoyao Chen, Violin – Finalist in the 2017 Bolz Young Artist Competition
Yaoyao Chen, a finalist in the 2017 Bolz Young Artist Competition, is a senior at Xavier High School in Appleton. Born in Zhanjiang, China, she came to America in 2013 to study violin with Dr. Wen-Lei Gu at Lawrence University Conservatory of Music. Yaoyao has performed solo with the Civic Symphony of Green Bay and the Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra.
