Officials said the fire was 40% contained as of Monday afternoon
Firefighters are working to contain a wildfire that broke out Sunday night in the Wharton State Forest, which stretches across Camden and Burlington counties. As of Monday afternoon, the fire had spread to 1,200 acres, double what it had been Monday morning. The fire is 40% contained and no structures are currently at risk, according to officials.
