On July 21, 1969, people worldwide watched as Neil Armstrong became the first person to set foot on the moon. As part of the 50th anniversary of the landing, residents of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Armstrong’s hometown, have a variety of events scheduled to commemorate the occasion and honor his life. Guests from the 2019 “First on the Moon” celebration committee are Joshua Little and Deb Zwez.
