And, nobody really notices that, I don't think.
But, it gets done every year.
Right there?
Usually in mid-March, March, they start spawning the Walleye fish out of Pueblo Reservoir.
They capture walleye in nets and gillnets.
But the nets tend to ge a little bit of wear and tear.
They get caught on rocks and limbs and everything, so they get holes in them.
And what we're doing here today is kind of repairing those.
There are 33 nets.
Each net is 400ft long, and they're six feet deep from the surface down.
We're just getting the nets ready to go.
So hopefully we'll have them done by mid-March.
We've only got about 6 or 7 more to go.
Dan taught me.
Dan been doing this a really long time.
And most of the rest of us, he taught us how to do it.
I'm still trying to figure out how to do some of the knots that Dan can do.
Partly just something to do.
We have a lot of fun doing it amongst ourselves.
Just joking around.
Just getting er done.
It's not that much fun, really, but we just make it that way.
