A move from Asbury Park's council defies the governor's executive order on indoor dining.
Gov. Phil Murphy ordered the attorney general to sue Asbury Park Friday after the city council voted to defy rules that ban restaurants from offering inside dining. Murphy's executive order permits outdoor dining only starting Monday. Asbury's attempt to add restaurants to the list of non-essential businesses drew a sharp rebuke from Murphy.
