NJ lawmakers demand more info, more school aid dollars

Legislators called on the state to allocate more CARES Act dollars to help schools.

Lawmakers called on New Jersey's education commissioner to provide a lot more data on the digital divide impacting kids who are forced to learn from home during the pandemic. During hearings before the Senate Budget Committee, legislators also called on the state to allocate more federal CARES Act dollars to help schools pay for resources.
