Politics looks to be pushing the 2020 census toward an untimely end. Advocates dedicated to an accurate count of the nation's population on Thursday urged Senate leaders to give 2020 census takers more time to complete this decade's tally. They warned that undercounting people would deprive states like New Jersey of the federal dollars they need for food, schools, hospitals and more.
