School await new rules on graduations

Now that the governor has approved in-person ceremonies, schools must plan graduations.

After Gov. Phil Murphy gave the OK for graduating classes to hold ceremonies in person starting July 6, schools must decide what to do: go virtual, do drive-by or stage a traditional, in-person graduation with new social distancing guidelines. New Jersey Department of Education officials say every district must consult health and police departments to determine safety.
