New Rutgers saliva test for COVID-19 makes debut

Residents of Middlesex County on Wednesday got to take a new COVID-19 saliva test.

Residents of Middlesex County on Wednesday got to take a new COVID-19 saliva test that lets you spit in a tube instead of getting swabbed up your nose. It's painless and fast with a 24- to 48-hour turnaround for test results. Developed by a group including Rutgers University, the lab can process 10,000 tests per day.
