Some New Jersey workers marched in Elizabeth on Labor Day to demand that Gov. Phil Murphy enact and enforce safety standards to protect them against COVID-19 in the private workplace. Many spoke of being forced to choose between their jobs and their health. A new report shows low-income workers have seen their inflation-adjusted wages rise just 7% over the past 40 years.
