Bobby Scott says common sense firearms laws can help stop an epidemic of mass shootings
Bobby Scott has served Virginia’s 3rd Congressional district since 1993. He says a ban on assault-style weapons, such as the one in effect from 1994 until 2004, can help lower the number of mass shootings. Scott also spoke about delivering better mental health services to Virginians. But he insists that the real threat to public safety is relatively easy access to high-capacity weapons.
