This is the Food Farm out in Wrenshall.
We come in once a year and give out free rutabaga.
They have like a little bit of sweetness.
They are a little bit sour ish, a little bit touch of bitterness, I don't know.
They're they're interesting.
As my grandmother would say, [laughs] it's a way to show off what we're doing at the farm and promote our CSA.
Our community supported agriculture.
And it's also just a fun sort of celebration of a unloved root crop.
My favorite thing lately has been to cut them up in strips like fries, and then roast them with salt and pepper, olive oil and paprika, and then toss them with some apple cider vinegar.
Let that absorb and then drizzle them with maple sirup.
