The Assembly held a public hearing Thursday on a bill formalizing the Foxconn deal.

The Assembly held a public hearing Thursday on a bill to create a manufacturing zone for Foxconn Technology Group. Discussions took place over the proposed tax credits, financial incentives, and protections for workers, taxpayers and the environment. FoxConn is expected to create 3,000 jobs initially, which could increase to 13,000. A possible 20,000 more jobs could be created in the supply chain.
