So the Free Range Film Festival started in 2004, just a way to show our friends movies really.
We did not expect it to turn into a real for film festival and perhaps some people would argue it's not quite a real film festival because it's in the barn and there's mosquitoes in the elements.
The first year that we did it, it was about this hot and we showed I can't believe I'm telling you this, but we showed a movie, a documentary about cat declawing.
Someone was overcome and collapsed upstairs because of the horror of the movie and the big lunch and the heat.
The fire trucks came like we cleared out the barn and I was like, We're going to be totally shut down.
And the firefighters were like, This is really cool.
And they were from down the road and they came back the next year.
You know, it's a lot of work putting together a festival in the barn.
We all have full time jobs and we just do this because we love each other and we love film and you know, projects keep going together.
I guess it's it's extra special to watch a movie in the barn.
