Chicago Tonight: Latino Voices
Little Village Mural Depicts Chicago’s Labor Legacy
Clip: 3/5/2022 | 2m 50sVideo has Closed Captions
A love letter to Chicago’s labor movement graces a Little Village elementary school.
In recent years, Chicago has exploded with the color and life of public art... you may have noticed this with some of the murals. The city has also become somewhat of an incubator for young artists through programs like those at Yollocalli Arts Reach -- that's the youth initiative of the National Museum of Mexican Art. One mural resulting from that program graces Gary Elementary School.
